Give like a river

 I had to learn about four years ago now, the difference between being somebody who asks for things like a lake, or a person who asks for things like a river.

Let me explain.

A lake has water that sits. If it rains the lake soaks up the water and uses it. It doesn't go anywhere or do anything.

A river flows and brings living water all over the place. Their is a river near my Jungle that flows through several countries and it is crucial for their lives.

So I'm going to make a request. But I want it to be known this request is not so I can live lazily and luxuriously, like a lake. In fact, most of you know I will live very simply (without a bathroom). This is a request so that I can be a river, connecting the help here to the needs there, and so My Farmer and I can live with a roof over our heads and full stomachs so that we may do the impossible incredible work set before us.

I need long-term monthly givers. I have a team of 6 different families/individuals now that have been giving faithfully for almost a year now. They are rock stars and ironically half of them are doing similar work to me and also need funding. That is amazing. However, My Farmer and I could use a team of at least 15. The monthly giving can be as little as 20 dollars, they key is consistency. Once I am over there, we will need that money to come in each month to live and do our work.
